scale of templates

I have tried repeatedly to print the templates and no matter what I do the ruler is at 5 1/2 inches, not 6. Could not find a "print dialog box" to change as suggested. Is it because I have a Mac?

where are instructions?

This pattern is nice but how do I find instructions to put the blok together, etc?
