15 whole blocks 9" x 9",
10 half blocks 4-1/2" x 9"
Fabric Requirements
(Yardage is based on 44" wide fabric)
White: 4-5/8 yards (piecing, sashing & side borders)
Coral: 2 yards (piecing)
Backing: 5 yards
Batting: 64" x 85"
No binding required
Cutting Instructions
White:
- Cut 6: 6-1/2" x 60-1/2" strips on lengthwise grain
- Cut 4: 9-1/2" by width of fabric (WOF) strips
Sub-cut into 20 units 6-1/2" x 9-1/2"
There would be less yardage needed if you cut five 6-1/2" x WOF strips
- Cut 19: 2" x WOF strips
Sub-cut into 380 squares 2" x 2"
- Cut 2: 2-3/8" x WOF strips
Sub-cut into 30 squares 2-3/8" x 2-3/8"
Cut in half diagonally to make 60 half-square triangles
- Cut 4: 4-1/4" x WOF strips
Sub-cut into 35 squares 4-1/4" x 4-1/4"
Cut each square diagonally in both directions to make 140 quarter-square triangles
Coral:
- Cut 10: 2-3/8" x WOF strips
Sub-cut into 160 square 2-3/8" x 2-3/8"
Cut squares in half diagonally to make 320 half-square triangles
- Cut 10: 3-1/2" x WOF strips
Sub-cut into 95 squares 3-1/2" x 3-1/2"
Sub-cut into 10 rectangles 2" x 3-1/2"
- Cut 1: 4-1/4" x WOF strip
Sub-cut into 3 squares 4-1/4" x 4-1/4"
Cut each square diagonally in both directions to make 12 quarter-square
triangles (discard 2 triangles)
