Robert Kaufman Fabrics’ website offers several free patterns (sorry, you will have to click on each project to see if a free pattern is offered). One freebie we love is the Color Beach Tote, the perfect bag for hauling your books and blankets (and let’s not forget the snacks) to the beach this summer, and for hauling your quilting stuff the rest of the year.

One gem on this site is the cute quilted patchwork jacket that uses a sweatshirt as the base. You’ll find free instructions, as well as a video clip of the finished jacket. The instructions are a bit chopped up on the webpage because there are some ads in the middle of the text, but the finished project would make a perfect fall lightweight jacket.
